Galleries Sweat Summer Sales
As the summer heats up in New York City, some galleries in Chelsea are getting burned. It is the first summer of the FICRY and the recession is giving new meaning to “the dog days of summer.” Indeed, some galleries in New York are feeling stagnated and paralyzed–lack of buyers with extra money means lack of sales. Galleries are struggling to sell works, some are even developing new business strategies. As some galleries fear they won’t last through the summer, some have already bitten the dust, like Guild & Greyshkul and Clementine Gallery. To read more, click here.
